Donating to the Parish of Larkhill, Whitehall and Santry during the COVID-19 crisis
We are delighted that so many parishioners are staying connected to our Parish community by tuning in for Mass via the webcam and the Parish radio. We look forward to the time when we can gather together again in our churches but this will not be possible until the public health guidelines permit and we can ensure that all social distancing rules and other precautions can be implemented fully.
A number off parishioners have enquired about how donations to the parish can be made during the crisis. We are grateful for these enquiries and we will be glad to receive financial donations. Our Parish relies primarily on the family envelope collection and the Parish Lotto to pay our running costs but we cannot gather this revenue during the lockdown. However, many running costs of the Parish, such as insurance and utility costs, continue to be incurred during the pandemic. So, if you are in a position to make a once-off donation or you wish to set up a standing order for regular monthly donations, we would be very grateful. The following donating options are available to support our Parish.
1. Cheque sent by post.
You can make a once-off donation or make regular donations by sending a cheque in the post to the Parish Office. Cheques should be made payable to ‘Parish of the Holy Child No. 2 Account’ and the address is – The Church of the Holy Child, The Thatch Road, Whitehall, Dublin 9.
2. Donate via the Bank
You can donate via your bank (online or in branch) to the Parish bank account or set up a standing order.
Account name: Holy Child Larkhill No. 2 Current Account
IBAN: IE95 BOFI 9007 3844 1520 06
3. Safe in the Church
The church is now open for private prayer: Monday – Friday, 10a.m. – 12p.m. Donations can be left securely in the safe at the back of the Church.
4. Easter Dues
Parishioners have enquired about returning Easter Dues. Envelopes are available in the Church and will be gratefully received- they may be left securely in the safe at the back of the Church.
5. Donate Button on Parish Website
We hope to have an online ‘DONATE BUTTON’ on the Parish website in the near future. This will enable electronic donations to be made to the Parish and also to the Diocese in lieu of the first and second collections at Mass. The first collection goes toward the salary costs of all the priests (active, retired and ill) in the Diocese and this fund has been severely depleted since the closure of churches. We will update you on this facility in due course.
Although the parish office remains closed, emails are checked. So, if you have any queries regarding donations, please do not hesitate to email (email@example.com).
Many thanks for your ongoing engagement in our parish community. Your support is greatly needed and is much appreciated. May God bless you and your loved ones. Stay safe.
